Bullying Experiences

What experiences have you had with bullying?
(9/7/07) During the baseball season, a lot of the players started making fun of me behind my back. When I was pitching, they kept blaming me for not pitching well when they made all of the bad plays. After a while, the coach started believing them, and he wouldn’t let me pitch until I had a talk with him which sort of solved the problem.

How do you feel about bullying?
(9/7/07) I think of bullying as big people picking on smaller and weaker people. They do it just so they can make themselves feel powerful and to solve their own personal problems.

What have you learned about bullying from this project?
(9/7/07) I have learned that bullying has been changing over the years and has been getting more and more serious too.

Film Project Experience

What do you think of this project?
(9/5/07) I think that this project will help all of the victims of bullying and show the parents how bullying has changed so they can stop it.

How has the project been so far?
(9/5/07) The project has been a smooth ride so far and I hope it stays that way.

What are your hopes and expectations for the coming weeks?
(9/5/07) I hope I will not get to freaked out in front of the camera and expect the best of myself.

Poems/ Lyrics about bullying

The Bullies
By Kyle

Walking down the street, you keep glancing over your shoulder.
You know someone’s behind you, you know their threats, “After school, you’ll wish you’ve never been born.” Or their comments “Look at that nerd with his fat ass glasses on his small white head.”
You hear them snickering somewhere behind a tree
You know your house is near, but not sure you can make it.
You start walking faster, so do they.
You’re running now, and you see your house.
But it’s too late. They catch you and drag you down.
They beat you senseless, until a cop yells at them.
They run away, like the cowards they are.
The cop asks you if you’re alright, but you don’t say anything.
They told you to keep your mouth shut or they’ll do it again.
You say nothing to mom or dad.
You don’t have any power.
You just want to fade, fade, fade away.
